The Paper Chase
The excellent (and might we also add fantastically good-looking!) Kristin Johnson at the fine journalistic establishment known as the Seattle Post-Intelligencer (aka “The P-I”) had the impeccable good sense to include a mention of this very website in her paper today. On the back page of their A&E section, in a column called “Staying In,” in a sub-section called “What’s Online,” under the heading WILD CARD, were written these 21 words:
Yuppie Punk is an edgy blog about culture and lifestyle. Certain posts are NSFW, but it’s definitely worthy of a visit.
Well thank you kindly P-I. You’re making us blush. We’re also predicting record sales of the paper today, which according to this site, is the 79th largest in the country. Oh, and the P-I’s biggest claim to pop cultural fame is that Naomi Watts’ character in “The Ring” worked at the paper. Anywho, you can see the full-size scan here.

You know, intelligencer should be an adjective.
“Compared to you, he’s intelligencer.”
I think it works.
(On that note, I had to do the spam protection problem on my fingers.)

Nice work! When was the the last time “punk” was printed in the PI and not followed by “arrested”

Well, that’s how I found this site, from reading the Seattle P.I.– cool site; I’m recommending it to my friends. I especially like ‘let’s do mug shots’… (:>
since I’m a nurse who has worked at the local jail and seen many drunk folks there…
