You should of given The Triple Rock an honorable mention. Co-owned by Gretchen Funk and Erik Funk of the punk band Dillinger Four. It is a venue, but also a bar which has incredible food. I would name drop, but I would sound like a douche if I did.

yea, here is a shitty punk rock restaurant story. i am in a pop punk band called death adder day care. after getting back from baltimore in the summer of 09, i was talking to joe queer (of the queers fame of course) about recording our album there. we were always talking about a mid march '10 time. so fast forward til january, we finally decided on like march 14-19 to record and mix and shit our album. the next mail i got from him was "i'm sorry austin, but something just fell into my lap, i'm closing my studio and cancelling shows". why, i sad????? because he is opening up a fucking restaurant. so fuck that. needless to say i was upset and let the fuck down by a friend and mentor. i don't know what the place is called or where it is.

i just asked him, "do you need a head chef" and no reply. and we know each other...shitty man, shitty.

Let's not forget ex-Husker Du bassist Greg Norton, who dropped out of music to become a chef. These days he and his wife Sarah are the proud owners of their own restaurant in Red Wing, MN, appropriately named "The Nortons'".
