In Memoriam: 2008

Jokers, crooners and the ultimate dragon slayer, 2008 marked the end of the line for some of the most talented folks in entertainment. Comedy will never be the same without the often incendiary and always hysterical work of George Carlin. Political punditry will forever mourn the loss and insightful analysis of Tim Russert. And the worlds of acting, humanitarianism and tasty refreshments have lost a one-of-a-kind soul in Paul Newman. Please join us as we tip our forties in honor of the supremely talented homies we lost in two thousand and eight.

Is Haley Joel Osment’s inclusion a joke (as in: the child actor’s career is dead once he hits 20)? As it seems his death was rather unnoticed by me, Wikipedia or anyone else.

Ummm… I withdraw the question after a look at the previous years’ in memoriams.

Yuppie Punk always makes me smile and snicker at the same time. I always find a great list or a scintillating bit of info here…so an end of the year thanks from me to you…..had you in my blogroll from day 1. Never stop focusing on the purely absurd…..and to the family of Haley Joel Osment…my deepest sympathies…….Happy New Year, Seano
