Pophangover: You also have a really funny photo gallery of the mustache of the week. How did you come up with that idea? Do people submit their mustache? Do you HAVE a mustache?!

YuppiePunk: Well people now started submitting their mustaches. I don’t know what the genesis of it was. I’ve always been a fan of the ironic mustache – it’s just an odd facial hair style, one that I don’t think is particularly flattering on most people – but some people like Tom Selleck look damn fine in a mustache. I won’t reveal who I am, but one of the mustache wearers in the archive of mustaches is in fact me. My best friend and I went on a road trip and decided to grow mustaches and take pictures for the site. Honestly it’s hard to get to a place where you look in the mirror and can’t stop laughing at yourself. You never get used to seeing your face with a mustache. My wife wasn’t so pleased with the results. Gotta suffer for your art, right?
