What About Bob?
Have you been watching “Celebrity Rehab” on VH1? Us too. Did you know that Bob Forrest, one of the drug counselors at the facility is a bit of a celebrity himself? From the mid-1980s to the early ’90s, Forrest was the frontman for Los Angeles rock band Thelonious Monster, who despite a dedicated following and string of indie releases, never managed to break through to the mainstream like fellow L.A. upstarts Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jane’s Addiction and Fishbone.
After several years away from music, Forrest resurfaced with a new band called the Bicycle Thief in 1999, but the band called it quits after just a single release. Forrest has never given up on music however. Between his time as a drug counselor (he’s a recovering addict himself), Forrest still makes time for making music. Recently, his version of Bob Dylan’s “Moonshiner” was included on the two-disc soundtrack to “I’m Not There,” and he issued a solo record in 2006. Take a listen to some of his work:

Thelonious Monster - “Bus With No Driver”

The Bicycle Thief - “Max, Jill Called”
Anyway, that’s all we got. Got any dirt on the other rehab tech Shelly Sprague? Leave it in the comments.
