In Memoriam: 2007
From daredevils to divas to Don Ho, we lost a lot of talented folks in 2007. Some of those who passed on were antagonized by punk rockers on late night TV, while others simply posed with them on rare 12″ singles. And some of them inspired generations with merely their words (thanks Anna Nicole!). Now then, a moment of silence for those that shuffled off this mortal coil in this year of the boar, two thousand and seven. Update: R.I.P. Borat Sagdiyev: February 17, 1972 - December 21, 2007.

Dave Navarro’s not dead.
Maybe thats deadpan humor I didn’t get.
I enjoy reading your blog, keep it up.

Jon, it is but a bit of humor. Last year Jared Leto kicked the bucket YP-style, for reasons I’m not entirely sure of. Nonetheless, Dave and Jared (and their hairstyles) will be missed.

Although I wish he was.

Your graphic up there looks like a twisted version of Hollywood Squares… or the Brady Bunch on crack, I can’t decide.

What’s the signifigance of October 6? It is my birthday, actually, but I had no idea that it was annually offing annoying celebrities who are mere shells of their former selves. PS. I met Dave Navarro back in 1996 and he was still hot and in that perfect zone where he understood that it was best to say very little and crossdress and be sexxy. It was at Squeezebox in NYC and he was wearing an ostrich feather trimmed woman’s robe that had been in the new Victoria’s Secret Store window in Chelsea. He was a gorgeous tool, being passively passed around from drag queen to drag queen.
