C’mon everybody, sing it with us: “Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us, happy birthday to uh-us, happy birthday to us.” That’s right kiddo’s, January 9th, 2006 marks our official first birthday. Woo-hoo! And what a lovely year it is has been. One year ago today we made our very first post on this here domain, and just look us now, we’re like some kind of blogging wunderkind. But seriously, thank you dear YuppiePunk loyalists for reading us and downloading our MP3s and writing us emails and for sending us traffic. We are eternally grateful to have you in our life. Without you we’d be just another pop culture weblog (albeit and incredibly talented and handsome one), but because of you we are overflowing with riches. Seriously, we mean that. Hard as it is to believe, we’re not fucking with you. We genuinely appreciate all that you have done for us (yes, even you who steal our bandwidth by repurposing our images on your own blog without asking). Now pop open an ice-cold Pabst, put on your party hat, and take a little stroll with us through our very first year.
