The album liner note is a lost art. Hardly anyone writes them anymore, instead they’ve been replaced with volumes of lyrics, endless thank yous, and full color fold-out posters. With CD artwork being so tiny to begin with, and digital downloads replacing actual albums, liner notes will soon find a comfy place in the dustbin of history. But we still like to read the entire CD booklet, and this is the best thing we’ve read in one in a long time. It is from Propagandhi’s latest record, “Potemkin City Limits” (which is terrific by the way):
